The One With My Stuffy Nose & New Year Wishes

Son of a bitch! There! I said it! For some reason (eventhough the weather here is nice and a bit springlike) I've been hit with the cold bug. >_< I'm trying to get rid of it by drinking plenty of liquids, pop lots of meds, and get plenty of rest. Yes, I know, this entry states that I'm awake at 11:30+ pm but all I seemed to do today was nap so my bodyclock is out of whack! :-P But I'll probably pop some meds in a few so that will hopefully knock me out till the morning. ;-D

So last week was hectic and a blur. :-P Dorad (Doris & Adam) and Auggie flew back into town so I got to hang out with them. Had a hilarious time with the crew last night - drinking and karaoking (thanks to Charissa's Karaoke Revolution Party game). Goooood times to be had. Hahahahahaha

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. :-D Mine was good - got my turkey fix, got what I wanted for Christmas (COLD HARD CASH Hahahahaha), hung out with friends and family, peruse around the mall @ 8:30am to check out the Boxing Day sales eventhough I didn't purchase diddly squat (thanks San :-P).

Now the countdown is for the New Year - just 3 more days to go. Hopefully I will be a-okay by then. Off to get my cold meds now - if I don't post anytime before the new year, have a safe, prosperous and happy new year. :-D

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?

I know there are lots of ver. of the tune but this one is my fave. :-D Enjoy.

The One With Holiday Cheers

Not sure if I'll have a chance to blog anymore until after Christmas so, just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and a fabolous New Year. :-D And here's a little something from FoxTrot :-D Click on it to see the comic strip in its original size. :-D

The One With Me Being Awake & Bored

I thought I'd take a break from bugging San with random e-mails (cause she is at work after all) and blog about something.

So I found out that this blog is actually worth something now - $564.54 to be exact (US currency too). Hehehehe! (See below)

My blog is worth $564.54.
How much is your blog worth?

Yes!!! Now I can retire. :-P

I woke up early (after a nice sleep session) and, as I've mentioned to San, drank a can of Sobe's No Fear! and now I'm WIDE AWAKE & BORED. I guess I could scan for jobs online but I'm still in the process of vegging out! Okay, I'll scan around for a bit (after lunch). :-P

Oh! Remember when I mentioned that my mobile service provider was offering "gifts" because I was a "loyal" customer? Well, I decided on the headset and it came today. Well, guesssssss what? It bloody isn't compatible with my mobile phone. >_< I wish the damn company would be MORE specific with their product description (note that I did not know what brand or version it was when I first ordered it cause there was NO description about it). GRR! Guess I now have a gift for future events. :-P

The One About Marketing

The buzzword in today's business world is MARKETING. People often ask for a simple explanation of "Marketing."

Here it is:

You're a woman and you see a handsome guy at a party. You go up to him and say, "I'm fantastic in bed,"

That's Direct Marketing.

You're at a party with a bunch of friends and see a handsome guy. One of your friends goes up to him and pointing at you says, "She's fantastic in bed,"

That's Advertising.

You see a handsome guy at a party. You go up to him and get his telephone number. The next day you call and say, "Hi, I'm fantastic in bed,"

That's Telemarketing.

You're at a party and see a handsome guy. You get up and straighten your dress. You walk up to him and pour him a drink. You say "May I," and reach up to straighten his tiebrushing your breast lightly against his arm, and then say, "By the way, I'm fantastic in bed,"

That's Public Relations.

You're at a party and see a handsome guy. He walks up to you and says, "I hear you're fantastic in bed,"

That's Brand Recognition.

You're at a party and see a handsome guy.You talk him into going home with your friend.

That's a Sales Rep.

Your friend can't satisfy him so she calls you.

That's Tech Support.

You're on your way to a party when you realise that there could be handsome men in all these houses you're passing. So you climb onto the roof of one situated toward the centre and shout at the top of your lungs, “I'm fantastic in bed!”

That's Junk Mail

Hahahahahahahahahahaha! I couldn't have explained it any better. :-D

The One With Me Discovering Things

The weekend is over! I usually hate Mondays but not today - well, not for the next 2.5 weeks! :-) So you might be wondering - "What is up with the title?". Well, I've discovered a few things that I would like to share with whoever is reading this non-beneficial, non-enlightening, non-anything yet mildly entertaining blog. :-D

1. I discovered that Fort Saskatchewan isn't too far from my place. A good 15-20 minutes drive. Guess it's kinda like driving to downtown but with less trafic cause highway driving rules. :-)

2. I discovered that one should never rent a movie based on the cover of the dvd - quite deceiving. So, the gang and I rented this movie (Malevolence) and it was a PIECE OF CRAP! Can I say crap? Well, too bad cause I'm going to say that it's CRAP again. I fell asleep near the beginning the cause the acting was terrible, the plot was abysmal, it was NOT SCARY at all, and to top it all off - lame sound effects à la DAMN SYNTH MUSIC. Apparently, it was suppose to be a homage to 80's slasher flicks. Well, Christ, I didn't know 80's horror/slasher flick was THIS BAD! :-P Crap! I can still recall that damn synth effect. >_<

3. I discovered that I "snore" when I sleep. :-P Damn it! Wonder what I sound like in the theatres - watching really boring movies? :-P Jackie - enlighten me on this (through email is fine Hahahaha).

4. I discovered that Jazz & Rap can fuse rather nicely if done well. Check out "Hidden Beach Recordings Presents: Unwrapped - Volume One"! If you want to give it a sample, check "here". ;-)

5. I discovered that Syriana is quite an Anti-American film. I went in with no expectation cause I didn't read too much about this film cause it really didn't interest me - not a big fan of political drama (watch too much of that on the news every damn day :-P) but it wasn't as bad as expected. Yes, I did fall asleep for like 10 minutes somewhere in the middle of the movie but I don't think I missed too much. The pace was quite slowwwwwww but hey, Dr. Julian Bashir is in it (see ref. to Deep Space Nine) and you do feel sorry for his character in this movie. Oh yeah, some of the scenes were set in Geneva and I was like "OH!!! I recognized that Arab Bank building cause Jackie took a picture of it." Hahahah! If you like more action and espionage, try Robert Redford's Spy Game. :-D

I believe that is all I can think of now. Maybe I will add more later. Until then, Happy Monday. :-)

The One With Me Aceing 2 of 3 Courses

TWO A-s!!!! Damn! Just got back from a meeting with one of my prof - got my results for Wed's final! Wooooo! 3rd highest mark in class! Mind you, the class only has like 15 people :-P but still! And it was one of the TOUGHEST CLASS I've had so far. Am glad that's done and over with. Now, just 13 more classes to go. 0_o

Update: Make that 2 "A-"s and 1 "B+" :-P Damn that B+ :-P

So, got Bastian and Julia's belated birthday gifts today! I thought that since I'm out anyways, might as well get that over with (even if Bastian's birthday party is tomorrow Hehehe)! I think they're pretty cool gifts considering that they're from a broke ass student on a limited budget. Hehehehe! What do you folks think? (See below)

Karate Studio Kit Ballerina Studio

Note that neither the karate outfit nor the ballerina's tutu are included in the "kit" but they do come with a 30 mins DVD teaching you the moves and stuff. :-)

Oh yes, remember that card & hat flash game from the previous entry. I managed to beat my old score. YEAH!!!!!! :-D

The One With Me Flipping Cards

Quick entry cause it's too damn early to do anything else :-P

It's a pretty cool game - if you're ever board and you're sitting in front of the computer. ;-) I don't think it's a top score but it's MYYYYYYY top score. :-P

Oh! There's a new jazz/classical/adult contemporary radio station out in the city - I think it's the poor man's version of CBC Radio's jazz segment and less pretentious (or more - what do I know? :-P Hahahah!). Magic 99.3 ;-) Lame station name though :-P

The One With Me Jumping With Joy

One word - FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Now, I hope that Mel Gibson does not stumble onto this site and sue me for copyright infringement for using that word à la Braveheart. Hahahahahaha!

Jesus, I'm all jittery now - think the 2 cans of Sobe's No Fear is setting in. Talk about DELAYED REACTION!!!!!! :-P It said on the can that I should not drink more than one can a day. Crap!!!! I wonder how long I will stay up till now! 0_o

Well, finished the last of my exams & got my final grade from my MIS class (A-!!!!! YESSSSS!). Think I could have done better but what the hell, at least it's an A. :-D By the way, did I mention that I HATE multiple choice portions of exams?!?!?! :-P

So, now I've got 3 weeks to piss about - I got it all planned - 1 week to piss about (like REALLY BE EXTREMELY LAZYASS) and 2 weeks to send out resumes and see if there are any F/T or P/T job opportunities pour moi.

What else do I have to report? Oh yes, 10 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!!!!! :-)

Oh yeah, I did end up putting up the Christmas tree after all. It was an act of procrastination as I was suppose to be studying. :-) Here it is! Tada!!!! Actually, nevermind - it's kinda stark but it DOES look prettier if you see it in person :-P

P/S - Are you a fan of SNL's "Ambiguously Gay Duo - Ace & Gary?" Hahahahaha!

The One With My Eyes Stinging

Well, it will all be over sooooooooon! I'm so damn tired and scared that whatever I managed to store in my brain up till today will all disappear when I open up my exam booklet! :-(

What's running through my mind now? Well, there's Uberrimae Fidei, Tort of Negligent Misrepresentation, Tort of Deceit, innocent misrepresentation, rescission being the only remedy for innocent misrepresentation, breach of contracts, unjust enrichment, novation, vicarious performance, accord & satisfaction, substituted agreements, waivers (bilateral & unilateral), rescission not available if it adversely affect a third party... :-O

Just taking a wee breather (4 more minutes left) before I cram again!

I need caffeine! Hmm, should I or should I not drive down to my local convenience store and get some more energy drinks? Or should I make some coffee - though I'm not really feeling like coffee this morning.

Okay! Time's up - I'm gone! I'll be sooooooooo glad when I completed this so that I will be able to relax and piss around for 3 weeks before the start of my next semester. Dear Lord, I'm still sticking with 4 courses for now. I would do 5 but the stupid schedule doesn't have a class that I want to take and/or can take at the time that I wanted. :-P

The One With Me Getting Older

Yes, another year older and dear lord, possibly wiser too. What the hell is happening? :-P I guess it's all about appreciating the things in life nowadays (e.g. not taking things for granted is a good start - going back to school & stuff). I'm starting to hate on people who just breeze by when it comes to their academics. Everyone seems to be looking for the "easy courses" - and it irks me if they're not challenging themselves. Christ, I think I am getting old if I'm starting to think like that. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ME!!!!!!! :-O

So anyhow, it was a low key event cause I still have finals but a quick hello and thank you to Opie Wan Kenobi for the tune. :-) Definitely unexpected so it was a nice surprise. :-) Can't wait to see you guys on Saturday afternoon and fill my "cracka" quota. Hehehehehehe!

So, did one exam and have one more to go. Kinda nervous cause this last one is a biggie! Again, management law and it's 50% of my final mark. :-S I'm scareeeeed but for some reason, I don't know why I'm not sweating bullets yet. Dear lord, I hope I don't get too cocky and fuck up the final. I must remain calm, calm, calmmmmmm - any one has any music recommendations? :-)

What else? Hmm, saw the MI:3 teaser trailer online tonight and I found it a bit bland. Although it was nice to see Philip Seymour Hoffman in it even if he's the baddie :-P So, quick info - MI:3 is directed by J.J Abrams (think Felicity, Alias, & Lost fame), Tom Cruise is in it (the only sore spot of the whole franchise hehehehe), saw screencaps and Keri Russell is in it (think Felicity). I really didn't want to watch the movie but I may be persuaded otherwise (pending reviews).

Other things I found online - a nice video by The Album Leaf :-) Think the song was on the OC before so you know it's gonna be niceeeeeeeee and pretty :-)

What else is new? Oh yes, 96X is no more! They're replaced by Big Earl - a country station (what kind of lame ass name is that?!?!?!). All I can say is BOOOOOOOO! Lamest move by NewCap ever. But I guess it's all business cause apparently they lost a lot of market shares to Bounce this year. I don't listen to the radio that much cause well, I don't drive that much anymore (well, just back and forth classes) but I guess this change caught everyone off guard - aka you tune in one day and it's a new station with new format and no notifications or warnings about the change. Seems like everyone is pissed about it. I'm a bit bitter but like I said, I don't listen to the radio as much anymore. :-P

The One Before My All Nighter

Well, I've watched all I need to watch - King of the Hill rocked cause there was a mention about being a banana (I think they also used "twinkie" too Hahahahaha), Grey's Anatomy was great as usual :-), and no Desperate Housewives or Family Guy tonight because it's all about the reruns.

So, I should get the coffee ready and all that good stuff. Speaking of good stuff, I saw this on some site (I forgot the name - think it was Gorilla Mask??) and I laughed my ass off. It's a wikipedia-like entry (uncyclopedia.org) on "nobody". :-D

Ok, wish me luck! :-)

The One With Me "Pimping" My Day of Birth

Another year older (in less than a week) and it's time to reflect on what I did with my life (this year - cause if I decide to rant about my entire life it would be a lonnnnnng blog entry). Well, I think it was more productive than last (even if I was unemployed :-P) as I am now just 13 courses away from attaining my B.Mgmt degree. Hmm, if I still don't have a job by next year, I think I'm going to try for a full course load (incl. spring and summer sessions) just so that I can get it over with. :-P

Just realized that Bastian is sharing the same birth date as me so a big "生日快樂! (Happy Birthday)" shoutout to the little bugger. I believe he's turning 5 this year. Crap! The kiddies are growing up!

The MIS presentation went okay - I breezed by my section rather quickly cause I was nervous as hell. But at least it's done and over with so a big thanks to Renée and Rashi! :-)

HRM today! I think I'm okay with this one but you never know cause when I get nervous, I blank out! :-P We're the 2nd last group to present so there is that pressure of having the prof & class be a bit hard on us - in terms of questions at the end of the slides. But I've come to the realization (maybe I'm wrong :-P) that my peers evaluate each presentation at a higher standards than the professor. Maybe it's a competition thing cause it seems like everyone is aceing this HRM class so we all feel like we should knock each other down a few notches. :-P Damn we're bitches! Hahahahaha! Oh well, I don't really care about it anymore cause I just want this to be done and over with so I can concentrate on my finals (particulary my Mgt Law one, again).

So, for all my peeps who have been bitching about me not emailing and hanging out, I will be back in action after the 14th. Be patiennnnnnnnnnnnnt! :-P

Lastly, if anyone has any idea on what the hell I should do to celebrate the day of my birth, feel free to comment. I have lost my "martha stewart" ability to plan and do stuff cause: (a) I'm lazy, (b) Planning stuff is a bitch, (c) I have finals that week so birthday plans are the last things on my mind, (d) I think I'm outgrowning birthday celebrations cause growing old is getting depressing. :-P, and finally (e) I refuse to drink till I puke (hint! hint! SANNNNNNN!) :-P though I don't mind seeing other people puke. Hahahahahahaha

The One With The 1st of 2 Presentations

Well, aside from Donna's birthday celebration, the weekend was uneventful. In a desperate attempt to do something, a few of us saw House of Wax on Saturday. It was notttttttttt as bad as I thought it would be. Dare I say it - I rather watch House of Wax than Just Friends (not cause Ryan Reynolds is a bad actor - it's cause the script was horrrrrrrible, and Chris Klein is a joke :-P)

So I have a presentation to do today for my MIS class. At the moment, I'm unphased by it - don't know if that's a good or bad thing :-P. I guess I just want to get it over with and the same goes for my 2nd and last presentation (for my HRM class).

Upgrade to Firefox 1.5!

For those who are unaware, Firefox is now pushing Version 1.5 so remember to upgrade your version. ;-) By the way, a big BOOOOOOOOOOOO goes out to lame sites which are still not compatible to Firefox or Opera or other browsers available in the market. I think it's time people create sites that are universal and not just hope that visitors of their sites are using IE - cause really, they're not. :-P

The One With Just Friends

Saw the movie tonight with the party posse tonight. Hehehehe! No 2-4-1 tonight cause by the time we were done dinner, it was like 9:30? Well, I don't know what it is but I was a bit disappointed. I think Ryan Reynolds is great and he's really funny (especially in Blade: Trinity) but the script for this flick is kinda bland. But on a high note, Anna Faris is great! It's too bad that she keeps getting recruited to star as the dumb blonde but I guess it's cause she plays it well.

Anyway, if you wanna check out the character she played in the movie, Samantha James - Singer Extraordinaire (a hybrid of Jessica Simpson/Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera/Ashlee Simpson), check out her "website". You can listen to the songs she sang in the movie. Damn she's funny. Hahahahaha! She also has a "MySpace" profile! Hahaha!

Oh, and of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!!!!!!! :-) Hope you had a great time being "21" years young ;-) By the way, remember to practice playing that harmonica. Next year, maybe you'll get a tambourine. Hahahahaha! And a big thank you to Jayme for the movie. :-) Sorry if I was being whiney about it later. I was just kidding. :-) Thanks again.

The One With The Finals Looming

Well, one more week of studying and group presentations and it's time for finals! I know I've been complaining about the semester but it did went by rather quick. So, here I am (still buzzed from last night's coffees) going through my lecture notes and recordings. Yes, I am a geek - I bought a voice recorder for my management law lectures. :-P I'm typing up these notes on the computer, trying a new format, cause I usually write it up by hand. It's so pretty and organized - I'm quite proud of myself. :-D Hehehehe!

So, I decided to take a small break and sort out some questions I have about my income tax & RRSPs and let me tell you what, the government is making it damn hard for me to call them and actually talk to a real person.

I HATE automated voice recordings. And the government's smart too cause now when you press "0", it does not transfer the call directly to a real person - it just disconnects your call. :-P There's not even an option (like press 9 to talk to a representative option either)! Those bastards!!!!

Oh, I'm currently listening to tracks from Fort Minor's The Rising Tide and it's pretty good. I'd recommend this to everyone who likes good hip hop. Every track has a nice rhyme and flow to it. For those who don't know, Fort Minor is the side project of Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda.

Another cool find (in my humble opinion :-P) is Eldissa's "What A Difference...". They just ooooooooze cool. "When disco meets bossa nova" is their tagline and their music is so relaxing. If you want to hear samples of the cd, check here.

The One With The Christmas Countdown

Yes! I have started the countdown. Actually, it started a couple of days ago but I haven't gotten around to blogging about it until now. Well, 26 days to go. Have you all got your Christmas shopping done? :-P

What would I like for Christmas? Hmm, that's an easy one - A JOB! :-P Well, I might as well tell you folks now (well, whoever's reading this). I went in for a job interview the other day (see the entry about me asking you guys to wish me good luck) and well, I don't think I got the job. Oh well, I guess I have to keep looking. Maybe I will try harder after finals (Dec 12-14th). Oh yeah, if there really is a Santa, I wouldn't mind a new TV too. :-) And an iPOD, a laptop, a new DVD player, my tuition paid off for the next 2 years, and lots and lots of money given to me by some long lost relative. Okay, maybe money won't buy me happiness but it would sure be nice to bling it up every now and then. ;-P

Oh yes, it's confirmed - Canadians are going to the poll on January 23, 2006. For more information, check out http://www.cbc.ca/canadavotes/

Nothing else is new. Still busy with my classes. Had an interesting chat with one of my professor. It was quite uplifting and encouraging. Thanks Trevor.

Need to kill 2 hours before I leave for classes. Toodles!

The One With The Fall Of The Liberal Government

Final Score: 171 YES - 133 NO (No-Confidence Vote Passed)

Thanks to the opposition parties banding together, the Liberal government (led by Paul Martin) is no longer. Looks like there will be a winter election (according to what's being said by media analysts, it could be January 23rd, 2006).

I don't know why everyone just can't get along. :-P It has to be one extreme (Conservatives) vs. another (Liberal). I'm not going to group the NDP or Bloc Québécois. :-P I really hope Stephen Harper and his Conservative party lose more seats because of this call for non-confidence. :-P

More info about this can be found on the CBC website.

And if you want to know why there's such a "caffuffle", all paths lead to the Gomery Commission.

The One With The Horror Flicks

For some WEIRD reason, San and I always seem to rent horror flicks and they always seem to be either Japanese, Chinese, or Korean (with subtitles, of course). Here's a list of what we've seen so far:

Audition - I seriously do not know why this film is critically acclaimed. :-P Definitely overrated.

Dark Water - Original & the Hollywood remake. I don't mind this film. The actresses playing the kid in both versions are so cute. :-) But I wouldn't categorized this as "horror" per say, maybe suspense/thriller? I'd recommend it. :-)

The Eye - Not as scary as expected but it wasn't too bad. I would recommend it if nothing else is available. Hehehehe!

The Grudge - Original & the Hollywood remake. Don't get me wrong - I love Buffy but I'm not too keen on Sarah Michelle Geller being cast in that film. :-P But I'd still recommend it. Some great scenes there to make you jump out of your seats. ;-)

Ring (I & II) & Ringu - Damn! Did this ever set the bar! I hate to say this but I could not walk past (definitely have to run ) a tv set for like a week. :-P Maybe the original version is more psychological but damn did the Hollywood version worked its magic on me. Btw, Ring II wasn't as good as the first one.

There are probably more but I can't think of them at the moment, especially not @ 4 in the morning. :-P So, the one we watched tonight was A Tale of Two Sisters. Ok, as I was telling Jackie, it's definitely not a NO-BRAINER kind of movie. Damn, do you ever need to use your brains for this one or you will be lost in the plot. I've check a few review sites and most of the people liked this and were willing to re-watch it 2-3 times to get the gist of it. Personally, I don't think I will so I cheated and looked up a synopsis of it to answer some questions I had after watching it. Once I got that, it seems like a pretty good film but damn, did they ever stretch out their moments of suspense. :-P Total running time was about 115 minutes. But I'd recommend it if you have time and brain power to tackle it. ;-)

Ok, think my energy drink is wearing off. Had a "Full Throttle" and well, I still prefer Sobe's Arush.

Oh yes, keep those fingers crossed for me still. Will reveal more once I know for sure. :-)

The One With Me Needing Luck

Wish me luck :-) More to come! :-)

Oh and a Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who stumbled onto this site and is from the States. :-)

The One With Me Wishing This Semester Is Over

I wish! I wish! I wish! Did I mention that I'm burnt out? :-S Anyway, to make it worst, I've registered for next semester already. Guess what? I'm going to try for 4 courses! So far, the schedule's looking at Tues, Thurs, and Saturday with Saturday being a full day. Of course, I may drop a course later cause nothing is really set in stone. Plus, this is all pending on whether I get a PT or FT job by January.

So, one project is completed!!!!! HOOOOOOORAAAAAAAYYYYYY! Now I just have to worry about the presentation for that one. Still got one more to finish off and two finals in the next 3 weeks and the semester is over! I know I've been wanting the semester to be done and over with but damn! it really did went by rather quick.

Because I woke up at the crack of dawn to finish up my part and pretty up the report, I missed Desperate Housewives last night. I fell asleep early. :-P But don't worry, I managed to find it online ;-) ;-) It's funny! I'm glad Felicity Huffman got the Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy cause she is great in her role as Lynette. So, here's the funny clip of the week from Sunday's episode. :-) :-)

Hmm, this YouTube thing is fun. Everyone should join it and post stuff they want to share. :-) I'm gonna try to find that clip of Family Guy from last week (the one with Brian going back to college); that I said was SOOOOO politically incorrect but it was funny as hell. By the way, this week's Family Guy wasn't as funny but it was still good. Much better than The Simpsons. :-)

Update: "someone" tried to up the Family Guy clip onto YouTube but it was rejected. :-P So, "someone" decided to showcase it here. ;-)

Ok, gonna work on my next group report now. Have a super day! :-)

The One With The Video Professor

I was channel flipping cause I was taking a break from reading and compiling the group project's paper (which by the way is kinda frustrating :-P) and I saw these infomercials about the video professor. Basically they're instructions of how to operate your PC or Office products on disc. Anyway, my question, is it just me or does the guy who hawks these stuff look like Jack Layton (leader of the NDP)? Please tell me that I'm not the only one who notices this.

Hahahahahaha! Okay, I have to get back to work. :-P

The One With John Mayer Trio

Have I ever mentioned that I love John Mayer???? Well, if I didn't then, I will now! Sure, he went the blues route and is now part of the John Mayer Trio but I still enjoy his music. Am currently listening to his "Try John Mayer Trio Live" album and it's so pretty. Christ! Did I just use that word? Hahahahah! Well, it's quite enjoyable. I wish he would come to this part of the world so I can go and watch his show.

If you want to give the album a try out, check here. Then check here if you decide to buy it. :-)

Oh yes, status of my group projects. 1/4 done! Before anyone shakes his/her head in dismay, it's HARD to summarize all the information I found about the project into a few pages, okay. :-P

The One With Amelie from Montmartre

Remember how I said that I was going to go into a deep sleep after Wednesday? Well, I had an EXCELLENT time :-P Didn't have to worry about group projects until now. Yes, it's 6 in the morning and after breakfast, I will have to get cracking on finishing up my portions. After that, it'll be to decide who has the pleasure of compiling everyone's two cents into a acceptable report. :-P

I was browsing through inethouse.net and found the Amelie soundtrack. If anyone is interested, the link is here. Ahh, it reminded me of how cute that movie was. It's too bad I was in France BEFORE the movie came out or I would have done what the globetrotter did and visited all the places in the movie. Lucky bugger! :-P

Ok, so was checking my Profile on Blogger.com and saw 73 profiles view. Hmm, is it just me or is that kinda weird? Hello to all 73 "people" who stumbled onto this blog. I don't really have much to offer here cause the links under "Loot & Plunder, & Etc" have more goodies available for "browsing" but I appreciate you coming by now and then to see what the hell I've been up to. Hehehehe! Anyway, feel free to leave a comment or two. :-) Toodles!

The One With Uberrimae Fidei

Ok, maybe I'm ignorant :-P but did you know that you have a duty to report to your insurance promptly when you receive any form of traffic violations? The insurance company does not need to hassle you for these information and they don't always check until it's time to renew your policy (which you hope).

BUT, by not notifying them of these traffic tickets, you could be driving without insurance (cause your policy could be invalid by not disclosing these details) and you don't even know it. What does that mean? That means you're royally screwed! If you are involved in an accident and you need to file a BIG CLAIM, you are out of luck cause your policy does not mean squat! Note that the insurance company will refund your premiums that you've paid but really, that's not what you're worried about when you're involved in an accident. Why is this the case? It's because when you are buying insurance policy, you are entering into a contract of UBERRIMAE FIDEI (utmost good faith). That means you have a duty to be TOTALLY HONEST!

So, what's the moral of the story? Try not to pull a Pinocchio when dealing with insurance companies. ;-) By the way, this applies to insurance of ALL genres (home, car, etc).

The One With The -14 °C Weather

I hate wind chills! It's getting chillier with each passing day. Not much snow on the ground (thank GOD!) so the driving conditions are still a-okay. *knock on wood* Well, completed one exam so just one more to finish off tonight. Then I have to finish up my share of the group project for Sunday. But I think that after tonight, no wait - make that Wednesday night (cause I have a class on Wed), I will embark on a SLEEP-A-THON!!!!

That will leave me with Friday and Saturday to do what I need to do. Yes, that sounds like a good plan. *pats myself on the back* Hahahahaha! Okay, maybe I'm getting a bit delirious too.

Best "scientific" experiment I've read about in a LONG time. Hahahahaha!

What's the Ultimate Jell-O Shot?

The One With Me Getting Brain Cramps

I think I'm burnt out! I can cram anymore definitions, theories, and examples into my brain anymore. One exam down (in T-minus 1.5 hrs) and another one to go (in T-minus 25.5 hrs). Who's the idiot who decided on having 3 consecutive classes in a row? :-P

After tomorrow's exam, I still have 2 more group projects to write up. One's due next week and the other, in two weeks (phew!). Please note that I can pass the courses BUT I am aspiring to do better. I want that A (preferably nothing lower than a B-), damnit! :-P Please pray for me again! Hehehe! :-) In return, I will tell you the next winning lottery numbers. Let me channel my mojo first. Hahahaha!

Saw last night's Family Guy this morning (sue me, I needed a break :-P) and let me tell you something, it was HILARIOUS! There was this one scene that was definitely politically incorrect but it was so damn funny. I won't spoil it for whoever wants to watch it but PLEASE get a hold of the episode. :-) Here's a hint to where you can find the episode! ;-) Hehehehe!

Oh yes, a quick update. San & Kenzie's move went off without a hitch BUT it did take longer than expected and by the end of the night, I was exhausted. That and I was probably too worked up about the goddamn BAD drivers around the city. One bastard had the gull to slow down and go 10 under the speed limit on yellowhead after I honked at him for driving so damn slow. That bastard! Wait till it's my turn to not be in a hurry and I see that ass again! %^#$^#%$#!!!

The One With The Move

Ok, T-minus 2 hours before I depart to help San and Kenzie with their move. I think I have been bestowed the honour of transporting San's royal garments. Hahahahaha! Been drinking lots of coffee to stay awake at this ungodly hour (FYI 8:00 am is TOO early for a Saturday). I could take a nap but knowing me, I'll probably won't get up till 2 in the afternoon. Hehehehehe!

I should be catching up on my readings and studying but I decided to watch Serenity last night. It was actually pretty good. Maybe it's cause I went in with REALLY LOW expectation? Hehehe! Ok, it really is good. It could be funnier cause after all, it was written by Joss Whedon (all hail the creator of BTVS!) but I would definitely recommend watching it. :-) If you're naughty, here's a torrent link ;-)

The One With The Résumé

It is now 4 in the morning. I've been up all night since I got back from my Mgt. Law class and was revising my résumé. After much urging, and the fact that I am in need of some sweet, sweet cash, I have seriously, to quote Xzibit, pimped out my résumé (with major help from San ; THANKKKKKKKKK YOU!!!!! ;-)). I don't know if I'll land the job for which I'm tweaking it for but I figure it's about time to incorporate my educational background into it. If anyone cares, please pray that I will get a J-O-B before the end of the year. ;-)

I know I should be studying but I've been trying to figure out my timetable for the spring session since registration for courses starts on Monday. :-P I'm contemplating on whether or not to take 4 courses instead of my usual 3. I want to get all my required classes done and over with and hopefully, just cruise through my last semester with electives but at the moment, the schedule doesn't look promising. I might have to take a Saturday class too. What a load of bullcrap! :-P

Oh, I found something cool on inethouse.net yesterday. It's a neat little program called File Lister. Once installed, it integrates itself to your OS and lets you create txt or html files from contents in your file folder. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! Now you can easily document all your files, mp3s, programs you have on your PC with one mouse click. :-D

The One With The Free Opera

No ads. Better browsing

Hmm, Opera is finally free. No more ads and licensing fee. I guess they've finally realized that with Mozilla's Firefox reaching 100,000,000+ downloads, Opera had to make some changes. I like the idea of moving away from the traditional Internet Explorer environment. :-) Now there will be more pressure put on Microsoft to put a better and safer browser into the market. :-) Ok, my geek quota has been reached.

Snow has finally hit the ground. Well, it's not too bad. Maybe less than .75 cm worth of it. But I guess it's enough for people to drive EXTREMELY slow. I admit, I shouldn't be speeding but I was running late so that's excusable, right? Hehehe :-P

Got this "anniversary" gift from my wireless service provider the other day. Let's see, I get a choice of redeeming one of the following 3 gifts: (a) One month of free unlimited local calling, (b) 6-month magazine subscription, or (c) A hands-free headset for my cellphone. I am contemplating between (a) and (c). Why don't I just choose (a) automatically? Well, the cheapass in me is saying, I won't be taking full advantage of (a) cause I don't even use up my current minutes now. :-P Who knows? Technically, I have until the end of the year to redeem it.

The One With The Laksa

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! A lazy Sunday :-D Just the way I like it. No thoughts of class projects or exams for me today cause I'm just gonna relax. :-P

So yeah, had some homemade laksa today (sorry San but it was a last minute, aka like started making @ 7:30pm, kinda thing :-)). Even without making the soup from scratch (we cheated and used this; pic ripped from mum-mum), it's DAMN HARD WORK! I really rather pay $8 for a bowl of it from a restaurant. :-P But still, it's SO DELICIOUS! :-)

Just watching The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror special now. I don't know if it's just me but I prefer the OLDER episodes. But Homer is still funny so as long as that's consistent, I'm still gonna watch the show. :-)

I think that's all I will add for now. I'm going to get another bowl of laksa. Hehehehe! & finish watching The Simpsons, of course. :-)

I won't comment on The Simpsons Halloween episode but it's safe to say that they've lost their touch. :-P At the moment, I'm just uploading some random pics I took with my cellphone before I sleep the night away. :-) Hmm, I guess I can upload them to flickr.com since I'm a member there now. :-P Also added this neat little flickr "badge" on the bottom right panel of this blog. Yes, those are pictures that I took. :-P

Saw an episode from a new [adult swim] series, The Boondocks. It's ok but I think I prefer Stewie Griffin more. :-) Speaking of Stewie, here's the torrent for Sunday night's episode. Enjoy :-)

The One With Multiple Adds

Why is it that everytime I log onto MSN, there are like 2-5 people adding me to their msn? I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE who these people are and I don't even know how they got my msn address (then again, it is a pretty easy address but still :-P). Anyway, I'm betting like 99.99% of them are just random bots or something like that that just add random address at any random old time. :-P

It's finally HALLOWEEN! Didn't do much on Saturday. Didn't get tickets for any of the club events, didn't get dressed up, didn't get drunk. :-P Though I don't really mind it. Just hung out with San & Julie, till 3:30 am (was 4:30 am if DST still applied). Chit chatted, hung out at OPM and Joey's, sang some songs, mastered the art of playing the tamborine. Hahahaha! By the way, Avril Lavigne's "He Wasn't" rocked so much more with a tamborine. :-D

I won't be able to hand out candies tonight too cause of classes so that's a bummer! I think I'm going to go to Shoppers and buy me a box of mini candies/chocolates so I feel better. Hehehehehehe!

Speaking of candies, let us all reminisce about when we were kids and we went trick-or-treating. Ahhh, I miss all those free candies. :-D Best treat ever? Chupa Chups!!!!

Happy Halloween! :-D

The One With The Asian BSB

Hahahahahaha!!!!! I have no words to explain this but it's hilarious!!! I saw this clip of them on Good Morning America 2 days ago and I was on a frantic quest to seek them out. I came up empty until today (though I shouuuuuuld have always checked with the original source FIRST :-P but anyway), when I stumble onto this link for YouTube.com. Click on the Play button. No need to thank me for bringing them into your lives. Hahahaha!

The Backdorm Boys - I Want It That Way

I think they have a few more on their YouTube.com site but this one made me laugh out loud the most. ;-)

Happy Friday, everyone! :-)

The One With The Disappointing Midterm

Well, I finally got my 3rd exam result and needless to say, it was disappointing. My god, I studied A LOT for this one. But there is a silver lining here - 64% of the class FAILED it! I didn't think it was a hard exam but the answers needed to be VERY specific (it being a law class and all :-P). Ok, the good news, Trevor (the professor) will scale the mark on a bell curve so that's excellent for me. If I do well on my final, then I could still eventually come out with a A or an A-. :-D

Hmm, nothing much to add. Got some group projects to finish so if this is my last entry before Halloween (doubtful :-P) then I will leave you with this

The One With The Secrets

Before I add this link to my list of looting and plundering, and etc, I just want to say that it's such a cool site. Nothing flashy or fancy, just people anonymously writing their secrets in a homemade postcard and sending them to this person and poof, they're up on the website.

http://postsecret.blogspot.com/

Note that some are disturbing while others are pretty lighthearted. Personally, I don't know if I'll even do that so I must say, most of the senders are very brave, and quite creative too. So, if you're up for it, here's how you send in your secrets:

(from PostSecret website)
You are invited to anonymously contribute your secrets to PostSecret. Each secret can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, erotic desire, feeling, confession, or childhood humiliation. Reveal anything - as long as it is true and you have never shared it with anyone before.

Create your 4-by-6-inch postcards out of any mailable material. If you want to share two or more secrets, use multiple postcards. Put your complete secret and image on one side of the postcard. Please do not email your secrets.

Tips:
Be brief - the fewer words used the better.
Be legible - use big, clear and bold lettering.
Be creative - let the postcard be your canvas.
Mail your secrets to:

PostSecret
13345 Copper Ridge Rd
Germantown, Maryland
USA 20874-3454

So, what's my secret? Well, if I told you, then it wouldn't be one anymore, would it? :-P Who knows, maybe it'll appear on that site one day. Hehehehehe!

The One With Me Waking Up From Hibernation

Salut mes amis! :D Before you ask, yes, I am well rested now. Hehehe!

I don't really have much to say today. So, I'll just leave you with a video that Charissa sent to start off the weekend with a laugh. :-D

Have a fabulous weekend. :-D

The One With Me Whining :-P

T-minus 150 minutes! Just mere hours before I start writing my last midterm! Let us all rejoiceeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

Anyway, I am trying really hard to stay awake. I've ran out of Sobe Arush and I am just sick of drinking coffee (only for the moment so don't get your panties all in a bunch :-P). I think I read somewhere that a jog around the block will do me some good and gives me some energy to keep me going but fuck that; I'm lazy & it's chilly outside. :-P So I'm just going to whine about things till it's time for me to go.

Whine #1 - The frequency of seeing a photo radar van parked on the side of the road (on 97st and before 118 Ave) this past week has increased. Luckily for me, I know NEVER to speed down that area cause it's alllllll about the trap. :-P

Whine #2 - Midterms that are worth 50% of my final mark. Don't get me wrong, I'm learning a lot in that class but 50%??? Talk about pressure. :-S

Whine #3 - The rising cost of EVERYTHING! I didn't know I'd have to use phrases that start with "I remember the time when it only cost me..." so soon.

Whine #4 - Running out of Sobe Arush! :-( On the note of E-Drinks, why isn't Bawls being sold everywhere? :-P

Whine #5 - Watching the clock, ticking away slowly, and hoping that time would hurry the fuck up so that I can start and finish my midterm quickly (while my brain is still retaining all that I've read), sit through the lecture after, and come home and sleep till the weekend!

Before anyone offers me cheese (get it! Hahaha! :-P), I'm out of here.

Oh, here's my "pretentious" music pick of the week (it's a torrent*). Frankly, I don't think it's pretentious if I really do like the music so there. :-P

Chris Botti - To Love Again
- Did I mention that I love Michael Bublé? :-) He's on the album too. :-)

To buy it, get onto Amazon.com ;-)

*What's a torrent? If you don't know, google.

The One With Me Pulling An All-Nighter

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have done it AGAIN! :-P Well, at least I got 2/3 of the HR group project completed (thanks to one member sending his section of the proj to me before midnight). Wow! I was quite shocked actually. So, now I'm waiting for the other member to finish up and e-mail it over to me before noon. I guess I should try to get some sleep as I will need to wake up in time to finish up the proj. so we can all hand this one during class.

Something tells me that I will be buying a lot of coffee from Tim Hortons or lots of Arush from the local Mac's store before I make my way to class. :-S

Speaking of Timmys, I wonder if I should have got the globetrotter a Tim Hortons coffee & mug package as his departing gift. Hehehe! Oh well, the urban barn :-P mug was pretty nice too. Hope you use it or else, ship it back! Hahahahaha! Just joking :-P

But what I really wanted to get you was this (see below) but I was too lazy to drive my ass to Chinatown (actually, I don't know where I saw it before - not sure if it's even sold in Chinatown) so you got a mug instead. Hahaha! And I'm not sure if they sell rice in Geneva though (I know, I'm being ignorant! Hahaha :-P)

The One With The Midterms

Ok, I did 2 midterms and I have a group project and my mgt. law midterm to complete. I am officially BURNNNNNNNNNNNNT OUT!!!! I spent most of last weekend STUDYING! Yes, DEAR GOD!!!! Those words did come out of my mouth or rather, from my head since I'm typing this all out. What has been fueling me for the past few days? See below:

It's much better than the other "energy drinks" available in the market. It has a citrusy tang to it. And I don't think it's as sweet but what do I know, I'm burnt out. :-P

Hmm, the labelling is different in the states (see below). I guess it's easier to package as ARush than it is to relabel everything and sell it as "poussée d'adrénaline" in Quebéc - thanks to Bill 101. :-P

Anyhow, I think I died on both my midterms. I just hope I pass cause damn, it was hard. :-P And I'm not looking forward to the last one. Though funny enough, I think I might be more prepared for that one than the others.

What did I learn this weekend? Well, MIS is not interesting. :-P I wish the lectures were more interactive rather than being all about listening to the prof talk for 3 hours (think a poorman's geektalk heaven). ;-) What else? I cannot read and comprehend 6 chapters from my HR textbook in less than 4 hrs.

By the way, do you find that it's easier to remember what you read in fiction lit than it is to remember what you read in text books? What's up with that? :-P

Ok, I've got some more readings to do as I'm also waiting for my group members to send me their portions of this good proj which is due at 6 pm tomorrow and I have to compile it all before then. :-S Did I mention that I'm not too fond of groupwork? People who say groupwork is a slacker's haven should be shot (again with a spitball or something cause I don't promote violence). I laugh at this as I think back on the junior high days. Hahaha!

Oh! A big shout out to the globetrotter who has finally landed in Geneva. Lucky bastard! :-P I hope you get all your stuff sorted before your classes start! Can't wait to see all the photos of your European adventures. :-)

The One With The Sneaky Photo Radar Trap

Got this email titled "YOU ARE SCREWED NOW!!!" from my wonderful pally, Angela or as I like to call her, CRACKA! Hahahahahaha! Great! I was looking just for minivans before and now I got to be on the lookout for garbage bins too? How am I gonna speed and avoid getting ticketed? :-P

What Are They Looking At??? New photo radar trap

Not just any ordinary garbage container Bastards!!!!

Those sneaky bastards!

Midterms are around the corner (literally). Already did one this week. :-P I think I've mentioned before that I'm more nervous about my Mgt Law exam. I mean, 50% of my final mark is a DAMN LOT! Speaking of exam, I've been invited to a study group for it. My first! Awwww! HEHEHEHE! I don't really like studying in groups as I think they kinda make you nervous if they start throwing out stuff/questions at you and all you can reply with is a blank stare! It's like I have to study ahead before I meet with my study group. Damn, that's hard work. :-P

Anyway, whoever reads this, pray for me. :-P Jesus and I thank you. Hehehehe

The One With Happy Songs

The world is bleek! See: the numerous CRAP tv shows being churned out by various networks, rising gas prices, "hurricanes, earthquakes, wars, oh my", and much more.

I'm not saying I'm going to go all Ghandi and encourage everyone to be more aware of their surroundings, government activities, environmental and ethical issues, etc. cause GOD knows I don't practice what I preach. :-P I think that if you are content with what you are doing, then more power to you. :-)

Anyway, I know it's not much but hopefully these songs will bring a smile to your face when you listen to them. :-D

I'm going to steal from the catch phrase of Edward R. Murrow and wish you all, "Good Night and Good Luck." By the way, since my mentor in the art of über pretentiousness has left town, I guess I won't be watching "Good Night and Good Luck". Hehehehe :-)

The One With Boondock

Well, one exam down and two more to go. :-P Just read the syllabus for Mgt Law and damn, the exam is worth 50% of my final mark. Talk about pressure! :-O

So, read this and got a chuckle out of me. :-D Click on the image to see the original.

The One With the Post-It Notes

Post-It Notes are a thing of beauty. Not only do they aid in getting me to remember stuff (e.g. pay bills, return calls, breathe) but they can be used to make ART.

I stumbled onto these pic (see below) and they're so cool. :-D

Post-It Closeup Post-It Art

Anyway, Happy Turkey Day, Folks! :-D

The One About CBC

You may have noticed that I might add one or more entries per day depending on how bored I am or what's on my mind or how I'm procrastinating like no one's business. :-P

I MISS CBC!!!!! Well, CBC Newsworld. I thought the lockout/strike had ended. Let me check! HOOOOOOOOORAAAAAYYYYY!!! It's OVER! I guess it just take a couple more weeks to get back to schedule? In the meantime, I'm enjoying the shows that CBC is churning out from their archives so that they can fill the empty timeslots. Been watching "The Passionate Eye" and "The Fifth Estate" a lot. Especially when the shows are on at wee hours in the morning. The last one that I saw was about the Liberals vs the Conservatives in the US titled "Sticks and Stones".

According to the CBC intro to the segment, "The United States is in the midst of a very un-civil war. It's a war of words that's pitting conservative against liberal, that's already divided the country into red and blue. The new gladiators are commentators like Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter and their forum is the television studios of networks like Fox. It's loud, it's raucous, but does it have anything to do with the truth?"

If you want to check it out, some guy is streaming the segment (poor quality though but hey, at least it's available ;-)) here:

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7914.htm

And if you want to skip ahead and see Ann Coulter gets "owned" (note: always backup what u say with ACCURATE sources), check here:

http://www.collegehumor.com/?movie_id=120992

It's funny when you watch someone who's so "passionate about her belief" (but I see her as arrogant :-P) screws up. Hahaha! Anyway, that's my socially conscious entry of the day, maybe week, month, year or even lifetime. :-P

The One About Me Borrowing From Friends

Well, if you guys are Friends fanatic then you'd know about the way I'm gonna name all my future entries on this blog. Hahaha! God, I miss that show though their jokes were running thin so am glad they went off before things got too tired and boring.

It's Sunday and tomorrow till be Monday. What does that mean? Well, firstly, it's Thanksgiving tomorrow so that's exciting. Well, not really. I'm just hyping it up cause I will have TURKEY! I mean, I can have turkey any old time of the year but there's just something about Thanksgiving and turkey. While we're at it, the same goes for Christmas and turkey. Hehehehe! So, on that note (holiday cheers), I hope everyone will have a great Thanksgiving. :-D

Secondly, I have my first exam of the semester on Tuesday. :-( I have to read SEVEN chapters for that one and that's a bloody LOT! It's short answer though so I'm hoping I can bullshit my way through it.

Did another 2-4-1 (Waiting & Wallace & Gromit) with the globetrotter on Saturday. :-D Our last one since he'll begin his journey to the Swiss Alps on Tuesday. I wish him all the best and that he won't forget the little people when he's working for some big organization as an economist. ;-)

The One About Me Disappearing Into Oblivion

Saw A History of Violence today. It's not a bad film; though as mentioned to the globetrotter, it's kind of too "simple/straight-forward" for a David Cronenberg movie. But it was pretty entertaining so I would recommend that people go and watch this film. By the way, VIGGO IS FINE!!!!!! :-)

What else? Well, was checking emails and the following fwd struck a funny bone. HEHEHEHE! Hope everyone is having a great weekend (even if it is raining and everything)! :-P

The One About Staples

The keener lawyer wannabe has finally decided to return the sample papers back to the main desk. :-P Freaking 4 damn days. For fuck sake, it took me only 30 mins to get it, take it to Staples, pay $3.60 & made copies for myself, & return it back. :-P

Saturday, September 24, 2005

The One About The Lawyer Wannabe

Ok, I'm in a class with this chick who's aspiring to be a lawyer (well, she's quick to point out that she's taking her LSAT soon so I'm sure that's the path she wants to take). Maybe it's cause she's blonde so she has to prove to others that she's not just another "you know what" but damn, is it just me or do overachievers get on your nerves?

I swear, the guy who sat next to me shook his head & said "Damn it!" as soon as he saw her walk into class. Ok, that's definitely not a good sign, right? No offense but sometimes you can tell whether someone is likeable or not through first impression and well, a red flag went up when I saw her. Hahahahaha

The reason I brought this up is cause we have papers on reserves for the class which can be checked out (2 hours max) for our review and stuff. Well, Ms. Lawyer Wannabe decides to check it out on Monday night and keep it till God knows when. Ok, so I may sound bitter but damn it, play by the rules. TWO HOURS DAMMIT! She'll probably get an A+ now. What can I do? World is filled with competitive people so I guess I'll just have to step you but I think my procrastination & laziness will stop that from happening. So, I'm just gonna be mediocre and aspire to get a B+ (but hopefully not cause I really want that A). Hahahahaha

The One About Holly McNarland

Holly McNarland? Anyone remember her? Think her breakout hit back in the days was a little ditty called "Numb". I know she had an album out in 2003 called "Home Is Where" and then she disappeared??? Well, someone sent me her version of Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight". I can't get it out of my playlist. It's GREEEEEEEEEAT! So haunting and definitely much better than the original.

Here's the tune.

The One About The Geek Toys

Cost of living is going up while wages are remaining stagnant* so I thought, let's see what FREE & LEGIT software (usually open source) we can substitute for the evil that is Microsoft. :-) Isn't it funny that I'm using MSN Space to rip on Microsoft and etc. Oh well, freedom of speech is a real bitch. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

I didn't find this all by myself though I am a proud user of Firefox and Thunderbird for a year now. I know, late bloomer. Anyway, I got most of the 411 from http://theopencd.org. I think all universities and colleges in AB should do the same. I think students would appreciate this service cause God knows not all of us are computer savy. :-) Other great sites for to check out are the Free Software Foundation and Sourceforge.net.

* Actually, as of September 1, the minimum wage for AB has risen from $5.90 to $7.00. It's still a dollar short of BC's standard but it's a nice improvement. :-)

Speaking of inner geekdom, here's a link Charissa sent. ;-) I'm only 18.14596% Geek. HAHAHAHAHAHA

The One About Movies Which Will Suck

Ok, one more entry so the first post doesn't get lonely. :-P

People who ask me to go see the following movies with them (free or not) will be shot (with spitballs cause I don't own a gun cause I'm in Canada & the process to get a gun is a pain in the a$$ ) :-P
  • Into the Blue (Paul Walker & Jessica Alba)
  • The Man (Samuel L. Jackson & Eugene Levy)
  • Just Like Heaven (Reese Witherspoon & Mark Ruffalo; I love Reese but what was she thinking when she signed onto this flick? :-P)
  • Cry_Wolf (no clue who's in it)
No offence but I don't think I would even waste my bandwidth & time to d/l (I mean sample) them.

The One About My Many Blogs

I don't know why I keep creating these things cause:

(a) I could never remember my user name & password to get into my account after a while.
(b) I really don't know what I could write about. I'm already stretching it with MSN Space. :-P
(c) I don't really know how to set this up. I tried it twice before and failed miserably. :-S

Nevermind about (c). I don't know what I was on about earlier. :-P
